Outreach
We are happy to be part of the "Introduce a Girl to Biotechnology" event that was hosted by UW Women in Chemical Engineering. We explained different 3D printers and in our workshop, students printed hydrogels!
Our lab visited Montlake Elementary School and Thurgood Marshall Elementary School to do some fun activities on hydrogels! This year, we did a demo on superabsorbent polymers diaper demo and the students got some hands-on experience with making calcium alginate.
