Congratulations to Gokce on her recent research paper published on Advanced Functional Materials! In this collaborative work with the Alper Group at the University of Texas at Austin, Gokce showed how the mechanical properties of 3D-printed engineered living materials can bioaugmented by using molecular interactions between in situ-produced microbial metabolites and protein-based polymer matrix.
