Congratulations to Gokce and Jenn on their recent research paper published on Materials Today Bio! In this collaborative work with Carothers Group at the University of Washington and Alper Group at the University of Texas at Austin, we show that the bioproduction capacity of engineered living materials can be controlled by using gene expression dynamics including turning on-off of bioproduction and switching of type of bioproduct.
